Mini-Mystery 1:
The Case of the Pharaoh’s Puzzle
Worldschoolers Miles and Maya are headed to Egypt for their first adventure together. Their first stop is an archaeological excavation near the ancient city of Memphis, where a mysterious stone panel has been uncovered. With their guide, Gerard, and their dog, Sherlock, they're about to find themselves in the middle of an ancient puzzle.
A piece of the ancient stone panel is missing, and with it, part of a message hidden for thousands of years. What could the missing hieroglyphs reveal? Determined to find answers, Miles and Maya follow the clues from Memphis to the pyramids of Giza, along the Nile River, and eventually to Luxor and the Valley of the Kings.
Each week, the storyline introduces new discoveries that lead naturally into the lessons. Students go beyond the basics of a typical unit study, exploring English, history, geography, and science as they follow the adventure.
This story-driven experience will have your kids looking forward to each new lesson, eager to see what happens next.
