Grading

How are the mysteries graded?

Grading is determined by the teacher or parent. Each mystery includes answer keys for labs and activities, as well as a detailed rubric for evaluating the final writing assignment. You can use the provided rubric and guidelines as is or adapt them to fit your homeschool, co-op, or school's grading requirements—whether that means assigning letter grades, pass/fail, or points for participation and completion.

Are there answer keys for labs and questions?

Yes. Each mystery includes answer keys for all labs, activities, and questions. These are located in the Teacher’s Edition for easy reference.

Are there tests?

We don’t use formal tests. Instead, students show their understanding through labs, discussions, evidence analysis, and writing assignments. A grading rubric is included for evaluating their final story.
