Getting Started Questions
How do I get started after purchase?
- As the final step in your purchase, enter your name and email, and click the "Send Code" button.
- Check your email for a one-time code, paste it into the login page, and click "Verify."
- After you log in the first time, you can set your own password (Profile → Edit Profile → Set Password) so you don’t have to use the one-time code again.
- Visit My Dashboard in the top navigation, where you’ll see the mysteries you purchased.
- Select your mystery to open the Teacher’s Edition for Week 1 and get familiar with the flow.
- Visit the Print Center to print the student pages for the week, if desired.
- Begin the story and follow the weekly steps in order.
How do students access the materials?
All students and teachers use the same login that was created at the time of purchase. Members of the same licensed household or group can log in simultaneously on multiple devices. When logged in, teachers can open the Teacher’s Edition, while students can open the Student Pages.
- Solo Student Edition: The parent or teacher logs in to view the Teacher’s Edition and can direct the student to the Student Pages, or the student can log in on their own device using the same account to view only the Student Pages.
- Group Edition: The teacher logs in to view the Teacher’s Edition and may share the same login with students in the licensed group, allowing them to view only the Student Pages. The login may not be shared outside the licensed household or group.
Do I need to print anything before starting?
Each week’s student pages—such as evidence files, lab worksheets, and checklists—are available in the Print Center for you to print if desired. Everything is also available online, so you can choose to work digitally if you prefer. You won’t need to print endless pages—just the materials you need for that week’s activities. Teacher materials are for online use only.
Can I work at my own pace?
Yes. Each mystery is designed to run over six weeks, but you can complete it at a pace that suits your schedule, whether faster or slower. As long as you complete it within your license period (1 year for the Solo Student Edition, 2 years for the Group Edition), you’re free to set the pace that works best for you.
